About Montana Feed Company

Founded in 1973, Montana Feed Company has grown from a single-location supplier into a trusted, multi-location partner serving the heart of Montana’s cattle country. With deep roots in the ranching community and a steadfast commitment to livestock nutrition, we’ve spent over five decades delivering more than just feed—we deliver outcomes.

We are proud to serve producers from five strategically located warehouses across the state—in Missoula, Dillon, Columbus, Lewistown, and Miles City—ensuring timely, reliable delivery straight to the farm or ranch gate. A new warehouse will be located in Buffalo, WY to expand our operations. Whether you’re running a high-elevation cow-calf operation or backgrounding feeder calves in the plains, we’re right there with you, season after season.

At Montana Feed Company, our strength is our team—especially our on-staff Purina Livestock Production Specialists (LPS) at each location. Backed by the research and performance data of Purina Animal Nutrition, our LPS work one-on-one with producers to develop feeding strategies that boost breed-back, increase weaning weights, and enhance forage efficiency—because better decisions at the bunk line mean more pounds and more profit.

From bagged feed and mineral to bulk delivery and custom nutrition consulting, we help producers get the most out of their cattle and their pastures. And with additional services like feed financing and seasonal nutrition planning, we aim to be a true partner in every phase of your production cycle.

We’re not just feeding cows—we’re helping feed Montana families, fuel Montana ranches, and support the legacy of the cattle industry across the state.
